There are many reasons to be cheerful in March – the days are getting longer, spring is in the air and Easter is just around the corner. Here is a quick update of what we are up to at Roast...

Due to the popularity of the Soup & Sandwich deal in February, we have decided to extend this into March. So you can get a Soup and any Sandwich (excluding Hot Roast of the Day) for £3.50 in/£3 out on any Monday in the Month.

On the subject of soup we have been asking customers for their ideas and recommendations for new and exciting flavours. Both of tomorrows (Fri) soups have been suggested by customers and they will be Roasted Red Pepper & Pesto and Sweet Potato & Chorizo. So if you would like to see a soup on the menu or if you already have a favourite that you haven’t seen for a while, let us know.

We are also asking all customers for their input as we start to compile ideas for the summer menu. Unlike the tweaks we made in January, we are looking to really revamp the offering. We are planning to create some new Speciality Sandwiches, i think the ‘Roast Beef, Mozzerella, Caramelised Onion Chutney, Tomato and Horseradish Mayo’ will take some beating, but we will do our best make some new favourites. We are also planning to offer some ‘eat in’ exclusive items such as Tapas style Mezze Platters of cured meats, local cheeses, fresh flavoured breads and so on. So unleash you inner foodie – and let us know what you want to see on the menu.

On a slightly sweeter note and following the popularity of the Valentines Cupcakes, we are now taking orders for Mothers Day. The possibilities really are endless, so whether your Mum loves to be pampered, shops til she drops or is a keen gardener we can make something that is truly unique and shows you have put a great deal of thought into your gift. We had some examples last week of a secret garden design and a new three tiered style cupcakes with handmade flowers – but they all sold out so quickly i didn’t get time to take some pics for the website.
